It seems that some can literally wake up and smell the coffee!
A new study published in “Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology” says habitual coffee drinkers are more sensitive to the smell of their favorite morning beverage as they consume more of it.
The tests also show that the smell of coffee is being linked to their caffeine cravings.
This is the first study to prove coffee drinkers are more sensitive to its smell.
Researchers are now trying to find ways to use such aversion therapy to help those addicted to substances with distinct smells, such as cannabis and tobacco.
