Clovis Police Asking for Help in Identifying Card Skimming Suspect

News

The Clovis Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in placing card skimmers at local ATM machines.

Police say these skimming devices are attached to an ATM card slot and read personal card information stored in a victim’s card to include PIN numbers.

We are told as of Friday, September 15, three skimming devices have been removed from three local ATM machines.

The Clovis Police Department and the banks have obtained footage and still images of the suspect placing the device but have been unable to identify the individual.

The footage shows a man in his mid 20’s driving a light tan in color four-door Chevy Malibu, approximately a 2002 model.

The Department encourages anyone with information regarding the suspect or of any other cases of ATM tampering to contact the Police Department.

You are also asked to be aware and examine an ATM before using it.
