Climate Prediction Center and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society report the Texas Panhandle is now in a neutral phase through at least September.

Chief Meteorologist John Harris says that means “we are now officially out of a La Nina.”

Chief Meteorologist John Harris says, “Using history as a guide, near normal weather patterns should return, which could marry up with our wet season which is summer.”

Also, according to the CPC, there is a 50-50 shot that the El Nino pattern could set up by mid-fall.
