City of Amarillo’s “Every Drop Counts” Campaign

News
Every drop counts.

Three words the city of Amarillo wants to make sure you’re aware of.

They also make up the water conservation slogan the city is working to promote.

Experts say with unpredictable weather for the rest of 2016, it’s important to act now.

Debbie McMurry, an administrative technician at the Osage Water Treatment Plant says, “We ask that people really try to conserve as much water as possible we did have a lot of rain last year, but we don’t know what is going to happen this year, and in the future. So we’re asking people to be very conscience about the water they use.”

McMurry says this includes watering your lawn between 10:00 at night and 6:00 in the morning, as well as checking for leaks around the house.
