The Amazon Future Engineer program is a comprehensive childhood-to-career program to inspire, educate, and train students from schools and communities to pursue careers in computer science. Randall High School has been selected to participate in the Amazon Future Engineer Program. Since its pilot launch in 2018-2019, the Amazon Future Engineer Pathway program is serving schools in 43 states. When Randall High School applied for this opportunity, there were no other Amazon Future Engineering programs available for students in the Region or Area. This included an area that reached from Denver to Albuquerque to Dallas, to Oklahoma City.
The Amazon Future Engineer Program prepares students for a technological world. It will enhance their ability to problem solve, reason, and think creatively. This is an opportunity to help unlock a new future for students as they learn and build together.
With Amazon Future Engineer’s funding, Randall High School will offer Computer Science courses through curriculum provider, Edhesive. Amazon’s funding provides preparatory lessons, tutorials, and professional development for teachers, fully sequence and paced digital curriculum for students, and live online support every day of the week for both teachers and students. These full-year courses are designed to inspire students in computer science and develop their understanding of how technology and computer science can impact their future by providing a new career path and opportunities.
