Children with mental health disorders aren’t receiving adequate treatment

News

A new study reveals that children suffering from treatable mental health disorders are not receiving appropriate treatment.

Researchers analyzed 7.6million kids across the united states suffering from various treatable mental health illnesses such as anxiety, ADHD and depression.

They found that nearly half of the study group didn’t get access to any medication or therapy for any of these illnesses.

Researchers blamed a variety of factors for these results including lack of medical resources in their state of residency.

Officials warn that untreated childhood mental health disorders can lead to long term issues during adulthood.
