Another US-based mall retailer is biting the dust.
This time it’s Charlotte Russe, which will close all of its stores and is in talks to sell its intellectual property.
In a statement to USA Today, the young women’s clothing chain says it is talking with a buyer interested in keeping the brand alive in brick and mortar form.
But on Wednesday, a judge approved the sale of Charlotte Russe’s assets to a liquidation company.
Going out of business sales are expected to begin Thursday and last no later than April 30th.
The retailer’s online store has already closed.
The company, which also operates Peek Children’s Clothing Store, has more than 500 stores in 49 US States and Puerto Rico.
It filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy last month, citing poor sales and too much debt.
