Charlotte 911 Calls Released

(WCNC) Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have released the audio Thursday from the fatal police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott.

The three pieces of audio contain the 911 call and radio traffic received and transmitted moments after the fatal shooting that sparked week-long protests in Charlotte and a nation wide debate.

During the 911 call, the request for a paramedic is heard. Police say audio has been redacted and voice altered.

During radio traffic from Metro officers responding to the scene, officers are heard saying, “roll back to this apartment complex behind you,” and “there was a guy that was parked next to us that was rolling a joint and had a gun.”
