Amarillo’s Annual Downtown Block Party is taking a break.
Center City Amarillo Executive Director Beth Duke says the block party is not coming to an end, but, is taking a hiatus and will return in conjunction with the opening of the downtown MPEV.
In it’s place the Center City will hold a new event called “Create” which is an indoor-outdoor arts festival to allow people to simply create.
It will include exhibits and live music.
“Create” will be held on the third Saturday of August, which is the annual date of the block party.
