Cell phone video shows the moment a Texas woman was rescued from the roof of her car, surrounded by rising floodwaters.
Jackie Anderson was on her way to work in Johnson County Monday, when she underestimated the strength of this fast-moving current.
Unable to secure a safety line or tether a boat, firefighters had to swim out to Anderson and carry her to safety.
Corey Bauman was the firefighter who performed the swift water rescue.
He says he’s glad this story had a happy ending.
Anderson says she’s glad her two-year-old son was not in the car with her at the time of the incident.
