Plans for the Canyon Aquatic Center are right on schedule.
Ever since the city okayed the $6,000,000 bond for the water park, City Manager Randy Criswell says they have
been diving in to the behind the scenes work.
The current pool is 60-years old and Criswell says it’s falling a part.
He says it’s not ADA compliant, and it’s time for it to go.
Criswell says, “They think that the construction can be done after the pool closes this coming summer, summer of 2016, everything can be ready, you know the bids can be taken and the project can be ready to go, contracts can be signed, and the day that the pool closes this coming summer, then the contract can go to work and begin construction.”
