Barbie Gets Inclusive

Business

The Barbie world is becoming a more inclusive one.

Barbie’s parent company, Mattel, introduced its newest “Barbie fashionista” line Monday and the clothes aren’t the only thing in style.

The line debuting in June features dolls of varying body types, hair textures, and physical abilities!

Including a doll that uses a wheelchair, and the first doll to have a removable prosthetic leg.

Mattel reportedly working with experts to get the designs as accurate as possible.

Customers can purchase any doll from the collection to use with the wheelchair and compatible “dream house” ramp.

The company hopes to continue expanding its doll collection to quote “broaden the definition of beautiful”.
