Former Sen. Bob Dole helped from his wheelchair to salute casket of late former Pres. George H.W. Bush

Former US senator and Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole gave an emotional tribute to the late former president George H.W. Bush on Tuesday.

The 95-year-old former US Army Captain was helped up from his wheelchair to salute the casket in the Capitol rotunda.

Dole told CNN Saturday that Bush’s passing marked the end of an era with him being the last World War Two veteran president.

Bush died at 94 years old late last Friday.

Several memorial services have been planned since, leading up to when he will be buried Thursday in College Station, Texas.
