Breast Cancer Awareness Month Kicks Off With “Muddin’ for Tatas”

News
Now that it’s October first, we’ve officially entered Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

And this year, some people are getting down and dirty for the cause.

It’s called “Muddin’ for Tatas”.

It’s a mud bog to help raise money for women who’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer.

After receiving a diagnosis of her own eight years ago, the event’s co-founder, Sheryl Brown, says she was helped by the off-roading family.

So to her, this is was the perfect way to blend the two worlds.

Brown says, “It’s overwhelming. A lot of these people out here have been affected by breast cancer. And although insurance is good, there are so many out of pocket expenses. And that’s what we do. We try to help with that.”
