AMARILLO, TX - On Sunday, Whataburger, along with the Amarillo Police and Fire Departments, hosted Boots and Badges at the restaurant's 45th Avenue location.
The family-friendly celebration allowed members of the community to tour emergency vehicles and learn safety tips from uniformed officers.
Whataburger hosted the celebration as a way to honor local first responders.
"Our Boots and Badges Celebration is an opportunity for Amarillo families to join us in celebrating our community's local heroes," said Whataburger Director of Operations Ene Cedillos, Jr. "We're so grateful to our local firefighters and police officers for their service in our community. The Texas Panhandle 100 Club has been a huge support to them and we look forward to helping them continue to make a difference."
One person won Whataburger for an entire year.
The Texas based burger chair also made a $1,500 donation to the Texas Panhandle 100 Club, an organization serving 25 counties by providing assistance to the families of first responders injured of fallen in the line of duty.
