AMARILLO — Bell Helicopter has announced more employees are being let go.

Out of 700 job reductions in the state of Texas, between 50 and 100 workers will be left without a job here in Amarillo.

Worldwide, this round of layoffs will leave around 1100 people jobless.

In October of 2014, Bell Helicopter in Amarillo laid off 80 employees.

And last month, 5 Bell employees were let go.

Bell Helicopter said they anticipated the market would rebound after decreased production of V-22s. But that rebound did not happen.

Bell said they are also experiencing reduced customer parts purchase.
