The Better Business Bureau announced four companies and two nonprofit organizations who have made it to the finalist level of the awards competition.
2017 Torch Awards for Ethics finalists are:
Small Business Category:
- Gary’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
- The Jim Hutson Agency, LLC
- Plains Plumbing Company, LLC
Large Business Category:
- Phillips 66 Pipeline, LLC
- CareNet Pregnancy Centers of Amarillo & Canyon
- United Way of Amarillo & Canyon
This year’s Excellence in Community Service Award recipient is Jimmy Lackey, President, Kids Incorporated. The Excellence in Community Service Award is given to an individual who has shown unfailing dedication to serving the community and brings the core values set forth by the BBB to their everyday practices.
The Torch Awards for Ethics not only recognizes businesses and organizations that make it to this level, they also serve to recognize reputable business practices overall.
