The City of Amarillo along with the Barrio Neighborhood Advisory Committee will host a community meeting to reveal the Barrio Neighborhood plan on Monday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Wesley Community Center, 1615 S. Roberts St.
The Planning Department will take comments on the plan before final presentation and action by the Amarillo City Council.
Over the past eleven months, the Barrio Neighborhood Advisory Committee has been examining the area between the BNSF Railroad, S.E. 2nd Ave., S. Ross and S. Osage streets, and S.E. 29th Ave.
The group has worked to develop a plan for future development, opportunities for change, and guidance for City improvement funding.
City officials, department heads, and committee members will be present on to answer any questions regarding the draft Barrio Neighborhood Plan.
The plan will also be available on the City’s Planning department’s website.
