APD investigating weekend convenience store robbery

Amarillo police are looking for information related to a convenience store robbery over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 13th, at 9:55 p.m., APD officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in the 1700 block of NE 24th Avenue.

The victims told officers that two men entered the store. 

According to police, one of the men was described as being 5’2” tall and weighing about 140 pounds. 

Police say he was wearing a black leather jacket and a red mask over his face. 

We’re told he pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, demanding money from the cash register.

The second man was described as being about 6’0” and wearing a faded blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. 

During the incident, police say he stood by the door and appeared to be a lookout. 

According to officials, the suspects left the store westbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported from this incident.
