APD Investigating Two Carjacking Robberies in South Amarillo

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating two carjacking robberies that happened this afternoon in South Amarillo.

Around 4:17 p.m., APD said officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 4215 Canyon Drive on a robbery. 

Police said the victim told officers a man with long dark hair, wearing all black, forced them out of their vehicle and then left in the vehicle. 

At 4:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the United Market Street at 2530 S.Georgia on a robbery. 

They told us a male with the same description forced another victim from their vehicle and then left in it. 

Officers said they located the vehicle taken from the Walmart at the United where the second robbery occurred. 

No weapon was ever presented and no major injuries have been reported. 

The investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
