The Amarillo Police Department said they are investigating a late night robbery in south Amarillo.

Officials said just after 11 p.m. on March 18, APD officers were dispatched to Sakura at 4000 South Soncy Road on a robbery.

According to officials, a man wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and a lighter cover over his face, entered through a back door of the business and pointed a gun at the employees.

They said the suspect demanded that the employees give him money, but employees told him that there was no money.

That is when officials tell us the suspect left out the same door he had entered through and ran into the apartment complex to the west of the restaurant.

There were no injuries reported from the incident and no arrests were made.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
