Amarillo’s Average Gas Prices Rises 5 Cents; Average $2.34/g

Amarillo’s average gas prices rose 5.2 cents per gallon to $2.34/g last week according to GasBuddy.com.

The national average increased 4.7 cents per gallon to $2.60/g.

Gas price changes in Amarillo are now 29.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 8.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 9.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 32.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on March 26 in Amarillo have ranged widely over the last five years:

  • $2.05/g in 2017,
  • $1.83/g in 2016,
  • $2.16/g in 2015,
  • $3.28/g in 2014 and
  • $3.45/g in 2013.

Areas near Amarillo and their current gas price climate:

  • Lubbock- $2.28/g, up 8.0 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.20/g.
  • Midland Odessa- $2.51/g, up 3.0 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.48/g.
  • Oklahoma- $2.38/g, up 4.9 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.33/g.
