Amarillo to Soon Have Rooftop Restaurants


Groundbreaking on a new building in downtown Amarillo will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning by William Ware and Tol Ware, co-owners of Dubs Development, LLC. 

The two tenants of the new building will be Crush Wine Bar and Six Car Pub and Brewery. Crush will quadruple its dining space, revamp its menu and offer a full bar.

both businesses will have rooftop, indoor and sidewalk dining. They will be family friendly and offer live music.

Six Car Pub and Brewery will be the first downtown brew pub in history and will offer in-house, craft-brewed beer, Texas Wine as well as craft food. Both will sell off-premise beer, wine, and merchandise.

The building will be architecturally styled to honor the colors and elements of downtown buildings with a modern twist.

It will be environmentally friendly and offer the latest in equipment for an unparalleled dining experience.

It will meet the downtown design standards with a focus on lighting and landscaping.

The builder will be Southwest General Contractors – a multi-generational and family owned local construction company who is headquartered in downtown Amarillo.

The architect is locally-owned Playa Designs.

Construction starts today and will be complete in the fall of 2017.
