Amarillo Students Trying to Set World Record for Largest Homecoming Mum

News

Palo Duro students are trying to set a world record for the biggest homecoming mum.

About 90 students in the floral design class have been working on the mum.

It’s 15 feet long and 55 inches wide.

It includes 93 carnations, 32 mums, blue lights, and a whole lot of ribbon.

It weighs more than 20 lbs.

The students have been mum about the mum until today’s pep rally.

The school has submitted information on the mum to the Guiness World Records to see if they’ve set the record.
