Amarillo Remembers 9/11

News
This weekend you’re invited to join several public safety agencies to honor the 15th anniversary of the september 11-th attacks.

The honor guards of the Amarillo Police Department, the Amarillo Fire Department, the Potter and Randall County Sheriff’s Offices, and many more will pay tribute to the heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

A ceremony will be held tomorrow morning in front of city hall.

It’s scheduled to start shortly after 8:30 in the morning.

You’re invited to join plenty of others in gathering around the flag poles located on the south side of city hall, here in downtown Amarillo.

Also happening tomorrow morning, a couple of groups are serving those who serve our community.

Beginning at 7 a.m., the Elks Lodge here in Amarillo is hosting a free breakfast for all first responders.
We’re told that will begin at seven and last until at least noon.

Beginning a little later tomorrow morning, Southwest Church of Christ is hosting a free lunch for first responders and their families.

That starts at 11 in the morning and ends at one in the afternoon.

Before that the church will have a special worship service led by first responders.

That will start at nine in the morning.
