One in custody after Saturday afternoon robbery at the Home Depot on South Soncy

On Saturday afternoon, Amarillo police responded to a robbery at the Soncy Home Depot.
Amarillo Police arrested 35-year-old Ricky Solis. He is accuesed of taking power tools from the store and then leaving without paying.
The loss prevention officer contacted Solis in the parking lot. Solis attempted to flee, but the loss prevention officer caught him and a struggle ensued.
During the struggle a second suspect approached in an attempt to help Solis get away. The second suspect kicked the loss prevention officer in the face then went back to his vehicle and pulled out a tire iron.
A licensed handgun owner saw the struggle and began telling the suspects to get on the ground. The citizen drew his weapon and pointed it at the suspects, telling them to stop.
The second suspect ran back to his vehicle and fled the scene.
The citizen then pointed the gun at Solis and told him to get on the ground. The loss prevention officer was then able to handcuff Solis until officers arrived.
Solis was arrested for robbery and booked into the Potter County Detention Center. The merchandise was returned to the store.
The loss prevention officer received minor injuries to his face, but did not require medical attention.
