Amarillo Police: Local men arrested for selling alcohol to minors

Amarillo Police have arrested two men Thursday after an operation targeting local convenience stores that have been reported selling alcoholic beverages to underage individuals. 

During this investigation, an underage patron was able to purchase alcohol from a store located in the 1100 block of north Hughes Street.  49-year-old Tam Minh Trinh was arrested and booked into jail in the Potter County Detention Center for the charge of Selling Alcoholic Beverages to a Minor. 

The underage subject was also able to purchase alcohol from a store in the 3800 block of west 6th Avenue. Officers arrested 17-year-old Richie Tommy Inthavong Vang for Selling Alcoholic Beverages to a Minor.  He also was booked into the Potter County Detention Center. 

The Detective Division of the Amarillo Police Department will continue to randomly run these types of operations targeting businesses that continue to sell to minors.
