An Amarillo man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 207.
It happened today around noon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says 67-year-old James Birdwell was riding his motorcycle south on the highway, about six miles north of Panhandle.
Troopers say there was one passenger with him, as well as another person following them on their motorcycle.
Officials say due to construction, lanes are uneven, causing Birdwell to lose control when he drifted into the north-bound lane.
They say he and the passenger were ejected, then Birdwell was runover by the third person who was unable to avoid him.
Birdwell was pronounced dead at the scene.
