Amarillo ISD Students Sworn in as AmeriCorps Members

Amarillo ISD students joined thousands of others from across the country by being sworn in as AmeriCorps members.

The students were sworn in, Friday morning at the High Plains Food Bank for their service in the community.

The swearing-ins happened across the country simultaneously this morning. 

AmeriCorps is an intense service program that creates pathways for people to enter the workforce.

The AISD students sworn in are high school seniors who provide tutoring to at-risk elementary students.
