Amarillo Gun Show

AMARILLO - On Mar. 10 there was a gun show at the Amarillo Civic Center. Enthusiasts could find old, new and used guns, some collectibles, some tactical gear, and paraphernalia for the hunters.

People could purchase new guns or trade in their old guns.

The show has been around for 40 years, and President of the Texas Gun and Knife Association, Janice Hill, said the show is successful for many reasons.

"It is kind of a way of life," Hill said. "It's kind of a heritage thing. People that have ranches and own properties you use it for self-protection."

Hill said the show is great for first-time buyers and gun newbies because of the education they can get. Experts were available to give advice and opinions.
