According to the Amarillo Fire Department, the hazmat situation is contained, but AFD will remain on scene to monitor the situation.

According to Amarillo Fire Department official says that seven people went to the hospital with non-critical ventilation.

UPDATE 2 – Officials on the scene are reporting three people are at a local hospital after a chlorine gas leak at Plains Dairy. They report more could be going if necessary.
The people taken to the hospital have been listed as non-critical.
Crews were called out at 9:13 and arrived three minutes later because of citywide training.
Officials report there are elevated levels of chlorine in the plant but are contained to the plant.
Crews continue to investigate the hazmat situation.
UPDATE – The Amarillo Area Office of Emergency Management has initiated a full EOC activation for a HAZMAT incident at Plains Dairy, 300 N. Taylor.
Amarillo Fire Department is reporting a chlorine leak at Plains Dairy.
Plains Dairy is located downtown at 300 N. Taylor.
The department has a hazmat crew on scene.
Everyone is asked to stay away from the scene.
