African American Community Leaders Read Stories to Celebrate Black History Month


To celebrate Black History Month, the Amarillo Library hosted special story-telling sessions featuring leaders in Amarillo’s African American community.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, the readings took place at the East Branch Library from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Future readings are on Saturday, Feb. 23 and March 2 also from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

They read stories by and about African Americans.

The one on Feb. 23 will be at the Northwest Branch Library.

On March 2, it will be at the Downtown Library.
