36 Pounds of Meth Seized in I-40 Traffic Stop on February 26

DPS seized 36 pounds of meth February 26, after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.

At  8:27 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2007 Honda Odyssey traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation. The Trooper then discovered multiple plastic-wrapped bundles of meth concealed inside a hidden compartment under the front floorboard.

DPS Special Agents and DEA Special Agents arrived on scene to assist with the investigation.

The driver and passenger were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Both were transported and booked into the Carson County Jail. 

The drugs allegedly were being transported from Santa Rosa, California to Jacksonville, Arkansas.
