$1.8 Million in Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop


The Texas Department of Public Safety seized 300 pounds of marijuana Wednesday after a traffic stop in Carson County. 
At approximately 1:45 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a vehicle traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation.

The Trooper then allegedly discovered multiple large trash bags of marijuana in the rear cargo area under a bed sheet. The marijuana is worth approximately $1.8 million.
The driver, Kha Xiong, 37, of St. Paul, MN, was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Xiong was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from Fresno, CA to Tulsa, OK.
