Howdy folks and good Monday morning. Last night’s widespread thunderstorms have thinned out and only a few spotty showers remain. The cloudy sky will be in place until after noon when the sun breaks through. There may be a few afternoon storms in eastern New Mexico, but for most of us, it’ll be a humid and much cooler day than what we had over the weekend. Temperatures will only reach the upper 70s and low 80s with northeast winds at 5 to 15 mph.
We’re on a warming trend for the rest of the week as the latest frontal boundary heads out of the area tomorrow afternoon, but we’ll still be below average. Thunderstorms come around again Wednesday night and will be possible in the evenings Thursday and Friday as the 90s return to the High Plains.
Enjoy the cooler weather!
