Career and Lifetime Achievement Awards

Womens History

Tonight, local women were honored at the 38th annual Career and Lifetime Achievement awards.

Laurie Higgins-Kerley received the 2019 Career Achievement award. Higgins-Kerley started Dove Creek Equine Rescue in 2011.

Charlotte Rhodes and Diann Gilmore both received Lifetime Achievement awards. Rhodes has raised more than one billion for nonprofit organizations throughout Texas. Gilmore is the executive director of the Downtown Women’s Center.

“Going over their stories, it’s incredible what some of these women have gone through and where they’ve started. Some of them started, you know, 40 years ago in their career and they’ve just been at it for that long,” said President of Amarillo Women’s Network, Natalie Crown.

The Career and Lifetime Achievement program honors women who have achieved either a major career advancement or who have achieved milestones in a profession or career.
