DIMMITT - A man wanted out of four states is found and arrested in Dimmitt.
According to the Castro County Sheriff's Office, James Michael Austin, 39, was wanted by the State of Kentucky, Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska for charges that deal with identity theft.
Austin was apprehended by law enforcement officers as he attempted to leave the area where he lived.
A Federal Search Warrant was served at a residence on the 200 block of Front Street.
Special Agents said they located evidence of U.S. passport fraud and two firearms in the residence.
A State of Texas Search Warrant was obtained and drug paraphernalia was seized by the Sheriff's Office.
Austin was booked into the Castro County Jail on the out of state warrants.
The Castro County Sheriff's Office, the Dimmitt Police Department, the U.S. State Department Diplomatic Security Services, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives all assisted.
