Roushell is the co-anchor of Today in Amarillo.
He earned his bachelor’s in Communications from West Texas A&M University, and began laying the foundation for a career in media in 2007. His path to KAMR Local 4 News looks a little different than most. Roushell exited the broadcasting business and for almost 10 years, living in Midland, Dallas and Houston, gaining experience in airline operations, airport communications and public relations.
Roushell restarted his broadcast news career in the KAMR Newsroom as a Digital Content Producer in February 2021 and worked his way to Digital MMJ in June 2021. A few months later, he transitioned into a co-anchor position on Today In Amarillo, and he’s loving every minute of it.
Roushell also has experience behind the microphone as a radio talk show host, voice-over artist, sports commentator, and creator and producer of multiple podcasts. Roushell has engaged audiences at events and venues as a public speaker and emcee for The Delta Youth Group Social and the Empower Yourself Teen Leadership Conference in Amarillo.
Outside of his work, Roushell loves sports (especially the Denver Broncos!), music, trains, traveling, spending time with family and friends, lifting weights, and food! Chances are, he’s watching a game right now, with plans to hit up his favorite restaurant right after.
Roushell is thrilled to be back in his hometown, and he can’t wait to continue telling the endless stories of the High Plains!
