Mya Clark joined the KAMR Local 4 and FOX 14 team as an anchor and reporter in August of 2022.
She was born and raised in Tallassee, Florida, and graduated from Florida State University Schools, affectionately known as Florida High. After graduating high school Mya continued her education and moved to Pensacola, Florida to attend the University of West Florida. In May of 2020 Mya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, after majoring in journalism with minors in international studies and sport management. During her undergraduate years, Mya worked in athletic communications for two years as a student assistant. She was in Student Government Association and served as Director of Communications, served as Executive Director and Membership Director for Dance Marathon, a mentor in the First Year Experience Program, and Co-Editor and writer for the Voyager Newspaper.
Mya continued her education at the University of West Florida and earned a Masters in Strategic Communication and leadership in May of 2022. She continued her work with athletic communications as a graduate assistant and was the primary contact for men’s basketball, women’s soccer, and women’s swimming and diving. Throughout her time working in athletic communications, Mya directed the stream for home athletic events, hosted two segments on the weekly show interviewing coaches and student-athletes, managed various team social media accounts, and was the sideline reporter for UWF Football.
In her spare time, Mya enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, going to brunch, and watching Netflix.
