Ally Coscetti

I am the co-anchor for Today in Amarillo and reporter for KAMR Local 4 News.

I was raised in a military family, so I’ve lived many places including Colorado, Germany, Oklahoma, and Texas. Eventually we decided to settle down in South Texas, which is where I graduated from Refugio High School.

After high school, I attended Texas Lutheran University to run cross country and play tennis. At the beginning of college, the plan was to study to become a dentist.

After my first year of college, I transferred to Angelo State University. This was where I switched my major and graduated with a BA in Communications with a minor in Spanish.

San Angelo is where I landed my first full-time job as the Weekend News Anchor/MMJ during my senior year of college. After graduating, I decided to leave San Angelo to return home and accepted an MMJ job in Corpus Christi.

After a few months in Corpus, I decided to leave the TV station and give teaching a shot and taught Spanish 1 and coached cross country and track at my Alma Mater, Refugio High School. It was a fun year, but my heart led me back to broadcasting and now I’m excited to be in Amarillo!

My hobbies include fishing, watching movies, collecting mugs, and working out.

If you see me around town, say hello! If anyone has a story idea, you can always email me at
