Brock McGuire Band is fronted by Paul Brock and Manus McGuire.  The two are some of Ireland's most celebrated traditional musicians and have been at the forefront of Irish music for many years through their joint work.

Performing with the Brock McGuire Band are Dublin-based Garry O'Meara, on the banjo, mandolin and vocals, and Denis Carey, an acclaimed pianist from Newport, County Tipperary.

The group is steeped in tradition and performs with abiding respect and creativity.  The band's repertoire runs wide and deep; their tight, tenacious blend of instruments emphasizes bluegrass, French-Canadian and other Celtic traditions.

Brock McGuire Band's new CD collaboration, Green Grass Blue Grass, with 14-time Grammy Award Winner Ricky Skaggs, has been hailed as "a masterpiece" by American Music critic Bill Margeson.

The Brock McGuire Band arrives in Canyon directly from Ireland to appear at Mary Moody Northen Recital Hall on the WTAMU campus at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24th.  Tickets are available at the door and can be reserved by calling Shawndra at the School of Music, 806-651-2840.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and students.  Patron tickets are $20.  The evening is free to WTAMU students, faculty and staff.
