Firefighters protect homes as massive fire pushes further into Yosemite National Park.
(NBC News) The massive wildfire burning in Yosemite National Park is pushing to the east.
The "Rim Fire" has already charred an area greater in size than the city of Chicago, and remains only 23 percent contained.
Firefighters have established lines along the western edge of the blaze, where nearly 4,000 homes are threatened, but in less danger now that the direction of the fire has shifted.
