West Texas A&M University will host its first lecture in the Remnant Trust Lecture Series on Thursday, Sept. 26 in the Derrick Room of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.
There is a 5:30 p.m. Reception followed by a 6:30 p.m. Lecture presented by Dr. David Baum, director of the Remnant Trust Seminars at WTAMU.
Baum's presentation is titled "1,000 Years of God: The Middle Ages and the Great books of the Western World." His will be the first of four lectures to be presented during the 2013-2014 academic year. The presentations are free and open to the public.
The Remnant Trust makes its collection of ancient and rare documents and volumes available to colleges, universities and other organizations for use by students, faculty, scholars and members of the public who are encouraged to read, hold and discuss these original works.
