Update: Two Arrested in Amarillo Shooting

UPDATE -- Amarillo Officers initially found the car around 12:15 p.m. APD detectives joined other officers on N. Roberts. 
Officers made contact with the resident of that home. Initially, they were told that the suspect was not there. 

Officers were speaking to the resident when Christian Alexis Mata, 17, came out of the home. He had been identified as the suspect and passenger in the Buick that had pointed a gun at the woman in the 1800 block of N. Mirror. He was taken into custody and transported to the police department. 

Officers continued to speak to the home owner to secure consent to search the home. 

Alan Licon, 20, was in the home. He was taken into custody on six outstanding municipal court warrants. He was transported to the APD for investigation. 

Investigation indicated that he was driving the vehicle during both assaults. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on initial charges of two counts of aggravated assault. 

Mata was also booked into the Potter County Detention Center on two charges of aggravated assault. 

No weapon was recovered. 

AMARILLO -- Two people are in custody after a shooting in north Amarillo.

Police say they were investigating a threat near N 18th and Mirror when they were called to a shots fired call near by.

The second call came in after two shots were fired at a home in the 1400 block of North Highland.

Police say one of the bullets went through the wall of the home with a man and an infant in it.

Two hours later, an APD COPPS Unit located a car matching the description from both incidents and arrested two male suspects who were identified as the suspects.

Both men will be booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
