Update: Potter County Fire 100 Percent Contained

Police say fire is contained but stress another red-flag warning for Monday.
AMARILLO-- All areas under a mandatory evacuation have been lifted, as the fire in Potter County is 100 percent contained-- this according to a update from Amarillo Police Department.

The fire is 100 percent contained; however, fire crews are continuing to patrol for some hot spots in the area. All roads are currently open at this time.

Police say one residential structure in Westcliff was totally destroyed. There are no other reports of structures lost within the city limits at this time.

In Potter County, officials are reporting several houses totally destroyed and several outbuildings destroyed or damaged.

On Tascosa Road, there were four houses totally destroyed in the 2400 block of FM 1061.   In the 2800 block FM 1061, a house and outbuilding were destroyed.  In the 2900 block of FM 1061, a house and one out building were destroyed, and another out building was damaged.  In the 3000 block of FM 1061, a house and two outbuildings were destroyed. Also in the 2600 and 2800 block of FM 1061 two outbuildings were damaged.

In the Tascosita area, one house and garage totally destroyed; at a different address another garage was destroyed, but the house survived.

In the Stoneridge neighborhood a barn structure that contained an attached apartment was destroyed.

A red flag warning is in effect for the Panhandle and winds are expected to  be stronger than Sunday.
