AMARILLO --  On December 7 at 10:30 p.m., Amarillo Police were called out to the 1900 block of S. Van Buren on a report of vandalism.

When officers arrived, they found several different vehicles in the area had been damaged. The suspects were using a BB/pellet type gun and shooing out windows of vehicles that were parked on or near the street. Officers located at least 7 vehicles with similar damage in the area.

While they were conducting their investigation, an officer observed a vehicle driving towards the area, and then quickly attempts to leave the area. The officer recalled a similar vehicle description that was reported by a different shift as being a suspect vehicle in similar vandalisms on the west side of town that occurred the day before.

The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the 16 year old driver and 17 year old passenger.

Officers discovered CO2 air cartridge canisters in both occupants possession. The officers asked for and received consent to search the vehicle and located 2 BB/pellet guns under the drivers and passenger seats of the vehicle along with numerous BBs.
Further investigation lead to the arrest of both individuals. The passenger is identified as Terry Michael Glover W/M 17; Glover was transported and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on a charge of Criminal Mischief over $1,500 less than $20,000 (state jail felony).

The 16 year old driver was arrested and booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains on the same charge.
