CLARENDON -- Three former city alderman in Clarendon have filed a lawsuit against Mayor Larry Hicks.

The suit claims several instances of official misconduct.

Claims include spending city money without alderman approval and threatening a former alderman who still had voting powers with arrest for not attending a meeting.

You may remember back in June three alderman quit, leaving the city without a voting quorum.

All of the alleged spending happened since June.

Three alderman were elected Tuesday to finish the terms of the ones who quit back in June.
