With the success of The Piano Guys' first two major label releases, The Piano Guys and The Piano Guys 2, Portrait/Sony Masterworks released the Utah-based classical-pop group's new holiday album, A Family Christmas on October 22.  Just in time for the holiday season, A Family Christmas is also available as a deluxe set including a bonus DVD of their hit holiday music videos, plus a classic Yule Log video featuring all the songs on the album. A Family Christmas puts The Piano Guys signature twist to Christmas classics such as Silent Night, Good King Wenceslas, and Angels We Have Heard On High, which will be supported by a new YouTube video.

The Piano Guys video take on One Direction's hit What Makes You Beautiful took YouTube by storm in July 2012. It featured all of the Piano Guys playing the same piano at the same time. Thanks to its ingeniously intricate concept, the video helped sky rocket The Piano Guys to stardom and has received over 26 million views to date.

Already a YouTube phenomenon from their focus on self-made innovative videos in stunning locations, the Piano Guys have amassed over 2.1 million YouTube subscribers-and more than a quarter-billion views! Their latest video Kung Fu Piano: The Cello Ascends was filmed at the Great Wall of China.  Plus, they were nominated for their video Titanium/Pavane at the first YouTube Music Awards in the category of Response of the Year.

Over the last year, The Piano Guys have performed everywhere from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, to The Today Show and Katie.

About The Piano Guys: Hailing from Utah, The Piano Guys became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They've made over 35 since joining forces in early 2011, including their hit video, an innovative 10-handed version of One Directions What Makes You Beautiful. But its the Guys highly original blend of classical music with pop that has really been the cause of an Internet phenomenon that brought them to their major label self-titled debut album released on Sony Masterworks in 2012.  This release was followed by two more in 2013: their sophomore album, The Piano Guys 2 and a newly released holiday album, A Family Christmas, both available now on Portrait, an imprint of Sony Masterworks.

But just who are The Piano Guys? Actually, there's only one piano player, Jon Schmidt, and one other instrumentalist, Steven Sharp Nelson, on cello. Yet the other two - Paul Anderson and Al van der Beek - are equally significant members of the group. The Piano Guys name comes from Anderson's piano store in St. George, Utah, which was called The Piano Guys. Looking for an alternative to low-yield conventional advertising, Anderson devised a Facebook promotional page and YouTube channel featuring the most famous pianist he could find - local pianist, Jon Schmidt. A self-described New Age Classical player, Schmidt was indeed well-established locally, thanks to eight albums and seven piano books of his song transcriptions. He also performed concerts throughout Utah, one of which featured a young guest artist, Steven Sharp Nelson, who adventurously combined traditional cello playing with percussion effects. I was 15 when I met Jon and started playing with him, Nelson recalls. I had to get a ride to shows! But we've had a great brotherhood that's now lasted 20 years.
