Time to fire up those engines and get hunting.
"This is our first year to try this. It is our motorcycle scavenger hunt called the Great Armadillo Hunt and Click. We'vr taken pictures of local landmarks that are already designated. We will give you a list of the locations and you have three hours to find the locations and take a picture with your motorcycle in front of it and come back to Sunset Center," explains Mary Kay Kuhrts, Development Director at Martha's Home.
It's an excuse to spend the afternoon on your bike, if you really need an excuse that is. But more than that, this special ride will help people in the area in need.
"Martha's Home is a homeless shelter for women and children and we have four homes dedicated to helping women get on their feet and solve whatever problems stand in their way of being self sufficient. This will help with special needs for the homeless women such as daycare, glasses, dental care, deposits on their next home once they leave Martha's home."
Meet Eddie Lancaster; my personal motorcyclist for the day.
Armed with a camera, our landmark list, and a good lookin' bike, we got rollin'.
First on our hunt, Tripp's Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Next up, Smokey Joe's Cafe.
Then we took a ride on over to Joe Daddy's.
Last up Big Tex Rex.
So that ends my first time on a motorcycle. A fun ride for a great cause..
