A couple of years ago, two local musicians, Jay Weeks and Marc Durham, founded Texas Music for Life after several of their fellow musicians came down with cancer.  Their goal was to create a series of fund-raising concerts and events and to help other texas musicians who are struggling financially because of major medical bills.

Today, the group of local musicians is accomplishing what they set out to do as they are bringing back, after popular demand, their Dark Side of the Moon tribute show.  Texas Music for Life is set up to assist with those musicians expenses based on a  set of criteria that  must be met in order to qualify.

"We have a team of experts that look over the applications, and lead them to other support as well," Cathleen Tyson said.  "In the future we want this to spread Texas-wide."

The show will also feature two back-up bands - Anderson Flesher Key and Turbine Toolshed.

The night with the Pink Floyd Tribute.  The tribute features a 15-piece band with an eclectic variety of members, all ages.  There's also an excellent light show.

The raffle is sponsored by B&J Guitars & Amps and Budweiser.  Raffle tickets will be only $5.00  Need not be present to win. Anyone can buy a ticket.

There's also a Facebook contest drawing on Tuesday night at rehearsal - for those who have bought their tickets, and posted a photo on our Facebook page.
